Your generous contributions have enabled us to provide our members with invaluable training in fundraising strategies, significantly impacting the funding they receive. At Somos El Poder, our core values are centered around safety, unity, self-reliance, positivity, innovation, respect, diversity, equity and inclusion. In accordance with these principles, we are dedicated to fostering a secure and respectful environment for all members of our community, be it within our organization, workplace, or any work-related settings. Effective communication is integral, characterized by support, understanding, and non-threatening interactions, whether they occur in person, virtually, or through written correspondence. We firmly uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of physical violence, threatening behavior, disruption, harassment, aggression, or disrespectful remarks. Our earnest hope is that donors will adhere to our code of conduct, encompassing refraining from interactions with both volunteers and staff in a wide array of activities, including but not limited to: Acts of ableism, Instances of ageism, Discrimination rooted in religious beliefs, Displays of homophobia, Manifestations of racism, Incidents of sexual harassment and violence, Demonstrations of transphobia and Expressions of xenophobia. In cases where harassment, disrespect, or abuse are reported, our senior leadership and esteemed Board of Directors stand prepared to respond promptly.
