¡Día De Poder!

National Virtual Fundraising Training & Conference

December 11th, 2025
8:30am -3:00pm PST | 11:30am-6:00pm EST

Registration is NOW Closed.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Somos El Poder is proud to present our first virtual training event and conference. We do this right now with a sense of urgency to answer the needs of Latino focused nonprofits nationwide. The Latino community is facing unprecedented persecution and discrimination. There has never been a more important time for the Latino focused nonprofit sector to answer the call of our communities. We need to raise new money, diversify and grow our fundraising. We need to especially learn how to raise much more from our own communities. We offer this training at intentionally low costs to help you advance your fundraising right now.
This is the "Dia De Poder" because fundraising is power. Its the power to help our communities direct their financial resources to answer the needs, challenges and emergencies of our times.

Community Discussion: Finding Our Strength in These Times
Our mission is to bring comfort, community, and hope to our activists in the meeting. We want to talk about how we maintain personal resiliency and strength in this awful time. Right now we have a huge issue with our communities panicking and overwhelming our nonprofit staff and structure. So much so that a hundred little tasks take their time INSTEAD of fundraising, even while they are looking at cuts.
Among the questions for discussion:
  • There is so much negativity toward Latinos and immigrants these days. We internalize those awful messages sometimes. How do we heal ourselves in these times?
  • What Drives You to Work?
  • How do we help control fear in others?
  • How do we get our nonprofit leaders and teams to focus on FUNDRAISING. and not on less important things?
  • How can we lift each other up more effectively right now?
  • How can we ask other communities for their partnership and support right now?
